Give to his legacy

We are currently working on several long-term memorials for Courtney that touch on his passions for government, transit, and technology. We have partnered with NPHS, Youth & Government, and the San Francisco Bike Coalition to create these memorials — please see below for more details on each.

Courtney was a passionate public transit advocate, and in his short time living in San Francisco made a deep impact on the transit community.

We are working with the SF Bike Coalition in collaboration with Twitter to build three lasting memorials in San Francisco celebrating Courtney’s love of the city and public transit: (1) a parklet, (2) a bike lane, and (3) a park bench in Dolores Park.

NPHS SCHOLARSHIP

Courtney was involved in a wealth of extracurriculars in his time at NPHS, with none closer to his heart than the Panther Prowler newspaper where he finished his 4-year tenure in the program as Co-Editor-in-Chief.

We are collaborating with NPHS on a scholarship to aid students who share Courtney’s passions of journalism and public engagement.

Please follow instructions on the donation page and ensure you type in Courtney Garg Brousseau Memorial Scholarship in the correct area. You may donate via Zelle, Paypal, or check. Due to Paypal’s processing fees, if you are planning to donate over $500 we recommend donating by check. The NPHS Scholarship Foundation is classified as a 501(c)(3) organization — if you experience any issues with donation matching, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

YOUTH & GOVERNMENT

After serving as Chief Justice of the California Youth & Government delegation in high school, Courtney continued to volunteer and share his enthusiasm for civic engagement and the court program with current delegates.

Y&G has named an award in Courtney’s memory, and is creating a scholarship in collaboration with Coding Forward for students who follow in Courtney’s footsteps of exploring civic technology.
